Hi, I’m Sarah – 25 years in business, one goal now: helping women take my lessons and build a business that helps them to escape their regular 9-5.

I dreamed of escaping my regular 9-5, without doing anything about it….for a long time! I’m a travel junkie at heart – the kind of person who wants to work whilst overlooking a beach one month, then be in a high-energy city surrounded by skyscrapers the next. I also wanted to earn more money doing it than I ever had.

To make that dream real, I knew I needed to build a business the smart way: with the right tools and systems in place from day one, so I’d eventually end up working fewer hours, not more.

I’ve spent 25 years helping businesses transform and grow, including board-level experience. Along the way, I picked up a distinction in a Business Master’s degree whilst working full-time, and today I’m still an avid follower of the latest business thinking. It was therefore very obvious what I should do next (even though I know that’s not the case for everyone) — use everything I’ve learned to help other people start and grow their own businesses.

I’d also noticed something else, though. I’d seen women tend to have a harder time starting their own business because they’re usually juggling more – a job, a family, a home… basically everyone else’s needs before their own. So I built Small Biz Tools Hub for women who want to escape their regular 9-5. I’m giving you the shortcut past the overwhelm – effective resources to get you started and then grow.

I can’t lie, it will take some extra hours to get yourself started. However, if you stay focused, over time you can build yourself to a position where you get to spend more time with the people you love, see more of the places on your bucket list, and generally just have the freedom to say yes to life instead of surviving the week.

And here’s the honest bit: I’m still building this alongside a full-time career, not instead of one. I don’t believe you have to quit your job overnight to start the business that eventually gets you to the absolute ideal place you want to be.
